What is School of the Spirit?

School of the Spirit is a six-month course to help us live more like Jesus: secure in our God-given identity, filled with his power, and carrying the Kingdom of God wherever we go.

Through a combination of teaching, ministry, worship, and small groups, we will learn to live lives empowered by the Holy Spirit. We will take risks, grow in hearing God and depending on him, and have fun together on the journey.

Our next course will run from Oct 2025 - Mar 2026, at The King's Centre in Oxford. It will take place most Tuesday evenings in term time, as well as some weekends.

Hello, we are Liam and Helen Thatcher!

We are passionate about following Jesus, and learning to grow in the gifts that he gives us. We moved to Oxford in 2021, following a series of dreams and prophetic words, and we are loving the adventure of following God.

Together, we are part of the team at Oxford Community Church, and serve on the vision team for Salt & Light Advance. We have the privilege of leading School of the Spirit, along with a great team of volunteers.

School of the Spirit has been such a great way of learning with others, growing in faith, spiritual gifts, and relationship with God. We’re excited to see what this next year holds in store, and would love for you to join us.
